Growing from heartbreak to healing, depression to joy, struggles to freedom, and fear to courage, LaKeisha Reid is a living testament to the wonders of worship and the power of God’s presence. Whether through her songs, blogs, conversations, or genuine interactions with others, you can sense her genuine love for God and people. She seeks to bring others into the awareness of God's presence and inspire them to grow.
The purpose of this website is to highlight many of the practical ways that God wants to live through us on a daily basis as we cultivate a lifestyle of worship through relationship with God. This is what helps us to think better, have healthier relationships, impact the world around us, and live more fulfilling lives from the inside out.
Though most known for her singing voice as a worship leader, Keisha has come to value and share her voice and message beyond music. Her goal is to simplify the heart of God for those who don't understand and to empower Christians to experience God beyond the context of church. God is not just about rules, but real transformation. He wants to hang out in the center of our lives, not just the Sundays of our weeks. He’s not only concerned with our spiritual conditions, but our natural ones too.
With that same perspective about life and people, Keisha has also gone from writing poems, songs, sermons, and content for leadership development to discovering her voice as an author too! Now having penned her first book, Common Cries of a Black Soul, she hopes to inspire readers to embrace and share the truth about their experiences, as it is a key part of healing. Having overcome her own traumatic experiences with race and religion, she has set her heart on speaking out against injustice and inequality. She aims to speak the truth in love, knowing that love is sometimes fluffy, and sometimes fierce. She’s a straight-talker that does not sugar coat or beat around the bush, especially when it comes to things that damage people’s souls. So brace yourself, as this sweet-voiced psalmist releases the fiery truth in hopes to enlighten the oblivious and inspire the oppressed.
