Growing from heartbreak to healing, depression to joy, struggles to freedom, doubt to confidence, and fear to courage, Keisha Cochrane is a living testament to the wonders of worship and the power of God’s presence. Through her experiences she is able to let the light of Christ shine brightly through her music where her authentic love of God is reflected in her blend of lyrics and melodies. This genuine spirit easily engages listeners to experience the presence of God as her music inspires people to draw near to Him.
In her most recent project, I Will Worship, each song is formed from Keisha’s heart of worship and transparency that beats with a pulse of praise. Songs such as “Breathe On Me” share of her experience of giving up on her purpose in life until a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit revived her again. Her appreciation for one on one time with God is evident in songs such as “Safe” and “Take Me Away”. This project leads listeners on a spiritual journey of worship and praise which will enable them to grow their relationship with God in a more intimate way.
Music and performance has always been a colorful backdrop for Keisha’s life growing up as well, from talent shows at her elementary school in Hawaii to becoming a four-time winner of Amateur Night at the famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem, New York. At age 17, she completed her first demo CD called Lift Him Up, followed by her first album in 2009 entitled He Is God. Keisha continues to use her God-given gifts to further God’s kingdom through music. In regards to her most recent project, I Will Worship, Keisha states, “This is more than a song or project, but the anthem of my life because no matter what happens, the love that God has shown me through His Son and the comfort that He gives through His Holy Spirit makes Him forever worthy of my worship.”
